SHY AS SHELL PART 4

Leo’s POV:
  April called me out of the kitchen and I went to the living room to see what she wanted. The guys were gone so they must be in the guest rooms. “Leo, I wanted to ask you this since you saw Shy. I know you like her, and I don’t want her to get hurt. Please take things slow with her if you choose to be with her okay?” April said while putting a hand on Leo’s shoulder. “I-I do like her, but I doubt she would want to be with a giant mutant ninja turtle.” Leo replied while looking at the floor sadly. “Just talk to her tomorrow and see how things go.” April said with smile and hugged Leo quickly and left the room.



  The next day I felt well enough to go to school and April insisted she walk with me. The school day went by slowly and finally the last bell sounded.  We walked out and met up with Casey and saw him holding a bag. “Hey red. Hey ___.” He said with a smile. “Hi.” April and I said in unison.  “Donnie asked me for some supplies so we better hurry and take them over.” He said and we all walked to a nearby manhole covering. “Um, we’re going down there.” I said a bit unsure. “Yeah the guys live down there. Let’s go.” April said while removing the covering and climbing down. Casey and I did the same and we walked through the sewers to a large entrance. Right away Mikey greeted us with a huge smile and a big hug. “Hey angelcakes, ___, and Casey.” Mikey pulled me over to the couch and we sat down.

Suddenly we heard yelling coming from the dojo. “Geez, Raph and Leo fighting again?” April asked and Mikey nodded with a frown. “Let’s go to my room and read comics!” He suggested excitedly and I smiled.. April and Casey however, didn’t seem as thrilled at the idea. “We’re going to make some snacks. You guys can go.” April said while leading Casey into the kitchen. Mikey led the way and I followed  feeling a bit nervous. I barely know Mikey, yet here I am going to his room.  “Leo says I don’t keep my room very tidy.”  He said while opening the door and stepped aside to let me in first.  “Let’s read!” He said while handing me a comic and got comfortable on the bed. “Wait, where is yours?” I asked and he smirked. “You’re going to read it to me.”.  I looked at him and blinked a couple times, but let out a sigh and started reading aloud. Mikey propped up on his elbows and looked at me with a grin
